Nesquik Choco Cake

My baby just turned 9 months and I decided to make a cake for him instead of buying from a bakery. It is our tradition to take a picture of him with a cake as our monthly celebration of his birth.

I looked at our pantry and remembered that my parents sent me before 2 big jars of nesquik last year and as of today, we still haven’t finished half of the jar. I googled for a recipe using nesquik and found an easy to follow baking steps and ingredients.

1/2 cup oil
1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs
1/2 cup nesquik
1/2 cup coconut milk
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup flour
1/2 tsp baking powder

1/2 cup coconut milk
120 grams chocolate

1. Preheat the oven at 180 C
2. Combine the oil, sugar, eggs, nesquik, coconut milk and vanilla extract
3. Mix in the flour and baking powder
4. Place in a 5 in pan and bake for 40 mins.
5. While baking, prepare the frosting. Heat the coconut milk to almost a boil.
6. Pour the heated coconut milk to your chocolate and mix together to melt the chocolate.
7. Let it cool at room temp. Once the cake is already baked, pour the ganache over the cake.
Let it cool and serve

It is a non dairy cake which is very moist and tasted great! My husband loved it 🙂
